Very good week! Got many of the parts I ordered last week, as well as the door and pressure logger but it was missing some critical cables that I need to actually use the pressure logger. I also did a huge push early in the week to finish the NIAC submission and get that in, which I feel pretty good about. Looking ahead, I’m going to do some coupon testing for some parts of the arm manifold to make sure we have a healthy margin of safety and order the final parts when I’m sure that will be good enough. I also had some really helpful conversations with people who have been in the space startup industry for much longer than I’ve been about how this type of work usually crosses over into a business that wins large scale government contracts, and with all that in mind, I think it will be useful for me to join an accelerator program of some kind. Also, while working on the glove with fixed interfaces, I found an old bug which effected applied compression, partially explaining the difficulty dialing in compression. Also, I’m going to need an extra set of hands for the vacuum chamber tests, so if anyone is in NYC and is willing and able to help with some long duration testing in a week or two, drop me a line.
