Really excellent week this week - here are some highlights:

  • Eyelet generation is done, we will have that print back first thing next week to test out the new generation system! We ran into quite a few speedbumps related to parts of our codebase that we haven’t worked with in quite a while, and therefore need to make some new translation layers and better tools for building and debugging, which will enable faster iteration going forward.

  • After much development, we found an approach for scan segmentation and cleaning that we feel quite confident will work well - it should be working this weekend or early next week, at which point we can hook it up to the scan database and start doing some real stress testing!

  • Things have continued to evolve with the hospital, and we are realizing how solid our footing is compared to the last time we were going into these conversations. With how far we made it then and how much less we had to show compared to what we have now, I feel great about our capacity to far exceed the expectations of the doctors we talk to and will be working with.

  • We also had some great design conversations about other applications for chainmesh that can help spread the word about a new type of material! Electroplating will be very cool, but is far from required for a beautiful and non-technical application that would be more approachable for a wider audience.
