Great week! received the vacuum chamber, pump, and controller! Missing the pressure logger, and door with gloveport, those will ship separately. In preparation for vacuum chamber glovebox testing, I got the chainmesh fixed interfaces working correctly, so now there’s a direct tension load path into the vacuum chamber walls, rather than through the gasket, as we had for previous versions. Also in preparation for the vacuum/arm manifold, I ordered a few machined and sheet metal parts that we’ll need. I also ended up rebuilding the biodaq as the version we had before was really not meeting my ease of use expectations, so that’s in a much better place. As we approach a chainmesh design freeze, I wanted to look ahead a bit and see what it would take to get programmed slack for elbow and knee mobility, as well as mapping the body for extension and non extension lines, so we know where to place the programmed slack. At the end of the week, I worked on the NIAC proposal, designed some new business cards, and met with some NYC space community people to discuss a space coworking lab in the yard.
