Busy week! Still no chamber unfortunately, and I’ll be out of town for half of next week to go to a wedding, but I’m hoping it arrives while I’m out and a friend will be able to take delivery if it comes while I’m out. We’re also going to need to redesign the vacuum manifold, but I met some folks who might be able to help with that, we’ll have to see. On the hardware side, I worked on pulling together a slightly updated version of the biodaq, which is more automated now. I also had a great meetings with the head of a space focused VC fund, a circle packing researcher, a makerspace coordinator, a space community organizer, and another founder working on orbital tugs, all of which were very interesting. On the software side, I figured out how to improve hexagonality by changing part of our acvd code, so packings are much more regular now with fewer 5-1 and 7-1 links. Also dove into some extension research - Newlab’s SLS has been slow recently, but we’re waiting on some coupons from them which should help answer some questions we have about undersizing settings.
